The Big Redemption

In 1996, Pepsi ran a Super Bowl spot offering a Harrier Jet for 7 million Pepsi Points. John Leonard tried to claim it. But, all he got was a lawsuit. The drama plays out in Netflix’s “Pepsi, Where’s My Jet?” And it has remained one of the most unresolved stories in marketing history. It’s taught in Ad Schools and Law Schools to this day. Sadly, John never got his jet. Until now. Sure, we couldn’t give John a weaponized military aircraft, but we could redeem his 7 million Pepsi Points for 7 million Frontier Miles — enough to fly free on their jets for the rest of his life. And, we gave everyone else redemption, too by redeeming any brand’s useless rewards points for Frontier Miles, in The Big Redemption, Super Bowl activation.
